Fannie Mae Help the Homeless Community Walks

Make a Donation

St. Mary of the Mills Community Walk

The Fannie Mae Help the Homeless (HTH) Program is an extremely important source of funding for LARS. By participating in this important fundraiser, donors can MULTIPLY the impact of their donation. A special thank you to the 22 Laurel organizations who partnered with LARS to raise awareness for homelessness during the 2012 HTH Program. Because of your dedication, LARS received $68,953 from the Fannie Mae Foundation early this year!

How to Get Involved This Year:

1.  Join LARS on Saturday, September 28th, 2013 from 10am-12pm at Laurel Lakes/Granville Gude Park for our First Annual LARS Community Picnic! Bring yourself, your friends and family, your picnic lunch, and your walking shoes! It is $20 for youth walkers (ages 25 and under) and $30 for adult walkers. All of the money raised comes directly back to LARS as part of the Fannie Mae Help the Homeless Community Walk Program. Walkers of all ages and pets (on leashes) are welcome!

Visit http://www.hthwalks.org/goto/LARSCommunityPicnic to register!

2.  Schedule and host a walk for your own group or organization to benefit LARS. Walks can take place anytime between NOW and November 3rd, 2013. We encourage groups of all sizes to participate. "Walks" can be any type of physical activity... Zumba, yoga, knitting, swimming, a softball game? Be creative!

3.  Participate in the "Friends of LARS" Sponsorship. All checks should be made payable to "Help the Homeless/CFNCR." LARS will submit the checks together as part of the Help the Homeless Program. Depending on which sponsorship level we raise, Fannie Mae will match 15% as part of their incentive program!
